The guest – Aaron Gouveia
Aaron is a husband, father of three boys (ranging from 7 months old to 8 years old), and creator of www.daddyfiles.com, a website devoted to involved fatherhood since 2008.
His work has appeared in TIME, Huffington Post, Parents magazine, and American Baby while he has been featured on HuffPost Live, BBC NewsHour, CBC Radio, the Washington Post, and the Michael Smerconish Radio Program. He also works as a director at Schneider Associates, a Boston PR firm. When not at work or writing about being a dad, Aaron spends an inordinate amount of time running half marathons and losing his ever-loving mind over the fate of Boston sports teams.
I had a chance to meet Aaron in person in Feb’16 when attending Dad2.0 conference in Washington D.C. We had a beer and talked about the state of fatherhood. I wanted to bring him on because he’s very passionate about being a dad and dads being equal parents. He’s also quite opinionated which I appreciate in people.
Interview with Aaron Gouveia from the DaddyFiles.com (Podcast Episode 063):
Among many other topics, we talked about prioritizing your relationship with your partner when becoming parents. In my own experience this is easier said than done, but it is crucial to put your relationship first. You can read about my own journey and experience with it:
